Schedule Management

You can associate a calendar of appointments with any object in your database – in particular with CIs and Users. This helps users to see when things are scheduled on various items defined in Service Desk or Asset Manager in a calendar view. You can also add appointments to items as part of a process, ensuring that any work planned is recorded along with the other data for that process. Recipients added to these appointments can add these appointments to their external calendars.

Recommended uses for Schedule Management include adding a calendar of appointments to the window for a CI or for an Analyst. This enables you to see when the CI has changes scheduled for it, or to see when an analyst is busy.

Appointment calendars are available in Web Access only: they are not available in Ivanti Workspaces or the console.

You can also add calendars as gadgets in Web Access so that users can see the availability of services or analysts.

Calendar gadgets are available in Web Access only: they are not available in Workspaces or the console. For more information about Calendar gadgets, see The Calendar gadget.
